Hardship Fund

We invite you to join our school family

LA FOFI (Verónica Isabel Guerra) is a precious little girl who was born to this world on December 3rd, 2010. She brought immense joy and immeasurable love to all who surrounded her and was full of life, bliss, and God’s love. She smiled with her entire face and was the funniest girl most of us had ever met. She had beautiful bouncy curls and big brown eyes that shined her light brightly. Her heart was pure and noble. You should’ve seen the amazement of strangers when they interacted with her for the first time. It was as if they had seen God Himself in a 3 ft tall sweet little girl.

La Fofi’s life was transformed on August 25th, 2013. For us, that was the saddest day of our lives. For her—we believe by faith—it was probably the happiest, because she got to meet her Heavenly Daddy. Fofi went “home" just a couple of days after her sister, Chichi Guerra, started Pre-K at St. Timothy. Her family was new to the parish because they had recently moved to a house nearby. However, the outpour of love and support they received from the community felt like that which would come from lifelong friendship and family bonds.

Fofi’s siblings—Chichi, Gabriel, and Mia Guerra—were welcomed into the St. Timothy embrace and have been part of it ever since. Fofi is also an honorary Trojan. In fact, she’s the one in charge of supporting families like her own, when they experience adversity.

The Guerra Family, with the help of Lourdes Mestre, founded La Fofi’s Hardship Fund in memory of their little princess. This grant supports families at our school who are going through hardships, such as illnesses, divorce, loss of job, the loss of a loved one, or any other adversity that challenges their ability to afford our tuition. This fund covers the school expense, so that the children may remain at our St. Tims home and the families can experience support and relief.

La Fofi’s Hardship Fund has helped tens of our families find comfort amidst their suffering and be reminded of what we stand for—FAITH, STUDY and LOVE.

This Fund is sustained by your generosity and the Guerra Family’s desire to honor their little saint through service, love, and gratitude.

Join us in keeping her memory alive and supporting our St. Tims Families.
